I am continuing the challenge to be able to run 5km in 8 weeks.
It’s getting more difficult obviously because the running distance and time is stretched out further every week. The entire exercise only takes 30 minutes but it started at 1 1/2 min jog/ 1 1/2 min walk now it’s 5 min jog/ 3 min walk and I’m feeling it 😓. But I’m also very proud that I’m not giving up 😁.
Thank you to all of you for your encouragement.
Day 2 & 3 of my C25K 8 week challenge. I’m not sure if I’m keeping up to date with the challenge. Last week, I had some time off from the gym to spend quality time with my man before he left for his holiday .
Now that I have more time this month to do a lot of things (due to a slow month at work), I plan on hitting the gym more. I’m cooking more and baking more and freezing snacks. Otherwise, I would stuff my face with sugary and salty junk.
I eat when I’m bored and starve when I’m stressed. So, now I’m prepping food.
Anyway here’s my results on my C25K challenge.
Thanks for joining me on this journey of self discovery.
This week I’ve started week 3 of my C25K challenge. It was a bit more challenging this time stretching the jogging intervals to 90 seconds and then 3 minutes. The time was less , 28 minutes instead of 31. It must be a way of putting variety into the session.
Here are my results
Less time and I still got over 4km. So I’m happy about that .
I survived 10 minutes on the dreaded stair machine… really I hate it but to build up my butt muscles it’s the best.
Sticking to my goal…
I’m following Discovering Your Happiness and she has a fitness goal to reach, it’s great to see her get closer and closer to it. So, I decided to follow suit.
My goal is to run (or at least jog) 5 km in 8 weeks. I have downloaded the C25K app (couch to 5k) and I started it yesterday. I got to 4km on the treadmill in 30mins jog/walk 1min/90secs with 4 minutes warm up at the beginning (which I ran :)) and 4 minutes cool down. My average speed was 7.25km/hr.
My aim is for fitness not weight loss, I may (see I said “may”) try a charity event some time in the near future.
